Jenkins Athletic Club - Sports Club, 2025
Judge Victor B. Jenkins founded the Jefferson Athletic Club in 1933 to help provide youth athletic opportunities. With a long-standing sponsorship of the Exchange Club, they always tried to meet the needs of kids who wanted a place to play. This was true during the Jenkins Boys Club era at Lincoln & 35th Streets, and the Waters Avenue location. In 2015, the club changed its name again to the Jenkins Athletic Club to better represent its purpose as a youth athletics center for BOTH girls and boys. Their mission is simple: to provide safe and accessible athletic facilities and youth programs for the girls and boys of Savannah.
