Dr. Ernest Edwards, Senior - 1996
In 1993, at age 70, Dr. Edwards won a gold medal in the Senior Weightlifting National Championships. He has also won two silver medals in the national championships in addition to four gold medals in the Georgia State Games. Dr. Edwards was cited with a special award by the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishments in the field of weightlifting.
