Templeton, Rogers - 1995
Templeton was the commissioner of the Parochial Athletic League, secretary of the Georgia Amateur State Baseball Association, president of the Oglethorpe League and the Savannah River League. Templeton has worked for the Chatham County Recreation League and served as secretary for the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame. He has also volunteered for projects as both Bacon Park and Mary Calder golf courses.
In the fall, Templeton could be seen at Benedictine football games. He was a jack of all trades, filling in as a ticket collector, umpire, or scorekeeper. A true gentleman and loyal supporter of all athletics throughout the Coastal Empire – that’s Rogers Templeton.
