Cheryl A. Haworth - Weightlifting, 2026
Cheryl Haworth was once called “the strongest woman in the United States.” Her talent Her dedication and perseverance enabled her to compete internationally, earning a place on three Olympic teams. Beijing, China, and Athens, Greece. Haworth is an Olympic medal winner, bringing a bronze medal back to Savannah from the Sydney, Australia Games in 2000. She also competed in the 2001 Goodwill Games. The Savannah Arts Academy graduate is a two-time Junior World champion, a Senior World champion, and a Pan American Games champion. Haworth was elected to the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame in 2015.
