Train, Robert “Choo Choo” - Football, 1969

Train attended Pape High School in Savannah and Episcopal Prep School in Alexandria, Virginia – where he set a state track record and was captain of the baseball team. After his prep career, Train went on to become an outstanding end at Yale University. In 1935, he received honorable mention All-American honors and was named to the All-East team. The following year, Train was selected to play in the annual East-West Shrine Classic in San Francisco. He was cited by the New York Herald Tribune for playing a “superb” game the year Yale beat Navy (7-6) in one of college football’s greatest games.
