Stubbs, Otis - 1966
A sportsman interested in improving conditions for hunters and fishermen, Stubbs worked with a number of organizations devoted to those interests. He operated Stubbs Hardware & Sporting Goods Company and, at considerable financial sacrifice to his company, outfitted the sports teams of Savannah high schools. He also sponsored baseball, football, basketball, bowling, and rifle teams in competitive leagues across the city. Stubbs is a charter honoree of the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame.
