Lodge, Sr., Albert H. - 1969
Lodge was a Savannah athletic trainer who helped advance the careers of many local boxers. A former city firefighter, he was an athletic trainer at Benedictine Military School for about twenty years. Lodge was also the trainer for the Savannah Indians, and later the Savannah Redlegs professional baseball teams. He was the trainer for boxing teams at the Catholic Young People’s Association and the Union Camp Corporation. Among the professional Savannah boxers he trained was Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Famer Tommie Kiene.
