Simmons, Frank E. - Football, 1976
Simmons was an All-American in football at Tuskegee Institute (1946-47), where he lettered on the basketball, baseball, golf, and swimming teams. Simmons was All-Army in 1954 in Europe and was player-coach of the Army team there. He has a distinguished prep career in Savannah, leading Beach High School football teams of 1939-41 to state titles. He was named to the Georgia All-State team all three of these years as well.
