Ginn, Hubert L. - Football, 1989
Ginn rose to football stardom at Tompkins High School. There, he helped Joe Turner’s teams to an enviable record of only one loss in four years. After graduation, he accepted a scholarship to play ball for Florida A & M. During the four seasons Ginn played, Florida A & M compiled a 31-8 record. In his last two years Ginn rushed for 1,685 yards. His performance during his senior year set a then single-season record for yards rushed and earned him an All-American honor.
After college, Ginn was drafted by the Miami Dolphins. During his six-year career with the team, he played primarily on special teams. He gained 426 yards on 177 carries, 49 yards on 9 passes, returned 45 kick-offs fro 1,004 yards, and scored 3 touchdowns.
