Holmes, James Jerome - 2002
Holmes is a native Savannahians and graduate of A.E. Beach High School. He was a Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club mentor and coach for thirty-five years. In 1996, he was an Olympic Torch Bearer. Holmes was an assistant basketball coach at St. Pius High School and later became head basketball coach from 1996-98. He was also the Savannah State University Assistant Basketball Coach from 1978-90. Holmes was the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club Junior Boys Group leader, Games Room Supervisor, and Program Director from 1960-93.
