Conley, Richard L. - 1969
A founder and past president of the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame, Conley was a sandlot athlete, coach of several peewee baseball, softball and football teams, and served with distinction as sports editor of the Savannah Evening Press. His keen interest in the youth of this community helped to advance the cause of sports. He was active in the old South Atlantic League Baseball Writers Association and served as an officer of the organization. His sports columns were an inspiration to athletes and fans.
